Podiatry Arena has been running as a forum for 3 years. It has been going well but only had a reasonably basic yet functional design. After 3 years, I grew somewhat tired of the design and color. There was an increasing number of spam messages being posted and there had been several major updates to the software that I had not kept pace with.
I contacted Michelle Waters to upgrade the software, add a new design and install some plugins — especially those dealing with spam messages.
The resulting design speaks for itself and the transition from the old to the new was painless (even though I am in Australia!). No one has noticed the extra advertising as it so well integrated into the site — resulting in a doubling of advertising income!

Craig asked us to create a custom design using a beige color scheme similar to one he saw on another site.
He also wanted:
- Paid banner ad system
- Google Adsense under posts
- Google sitemap

I thought the old design looked a little dark and dreary, so I decided to brighten up the place. It’s a fresh, web 2.0 look that I designed myself.
I’m also porting the site over to Wordpress, which is a lovely blogging software that can serve as a nifty CMS. I’m in love with it and am using it to power many of my other sites as well.
I’d love to hear what you think.
Thank you!
